WHAT'S NEW?

We will be taking a break from breeding until next year, 2012,  for human health reasons.
Life throws a curve ball every now and then.

Thank you for your patience,
and know there is a difference between
being unable to respond to emails
 and being unwilling.

If you have interest in our continued health screening,
contact me for information.
If you have progeny of Maxx you may have copies of all health screening.

Maxx went in for his yearly exam and dental cleaning.
Bloodwork excellent, teeth healthy, tissue as it should be.
As Maxx is older now, this is extremely important.
Your cat's dental health is very important, just as human dental health is important in over-all health and immune.
As your cat grows older, this is vitally important.
Preventative dental care at home is paramount. Many products can be found as water additives and tooth/gum gels.
Make no mistake about your cat's mouth. It might change his life!

Carbon is now living in Wausau with Jim and Deb.
He is loving his home, I can see by his photos.
Happy Boy! ...as it should be.

We will be regrouping our breed program.

August 2010
Young Adults, dad and grandpa Echos are picture perfect and clear of HCM.
Echos are listed on individual pages for your reference
Most of our cats have the large maine coon heart. This is not to be confused with an enlarged heart. Maine coons have a normal variance seen within the heart muscle. Some cats may grow to become 20 plus pounds. He will need a heart to support his body!
Please be sure to educate yourself with respect to this fact, and also ask your veterinarian to become educated as well if you are owned by a maine coon.
Many maine coons are misdiagnosed due to lack of knowlege by attending medical people. I personally have brought kittens back to my home with their parents, in order to have our trusted  cardiologist examine them after receiving an  alarming diagnosis that proved to be  incorrect.
We cannot be expected to know everything, but we can choose to educate ourselves, and ascertain that our choice of medical people will do the same. As an advocate for all creatures, especially the maine coon I heartily  thank you for taking this seriously.

Many of you are wondering how Manny is doing! I am so very pleased to say, that he is healthy, happy, and living with the Rinaldi's in Eau Claire. They say he can fly!
We love you Manny...but we also heard you.
Another forever in my heart.

*** Dec 21, 2009 all hearts clear and picture perfect ***

Echos are inaccurate during lactation. You may not find echos on some females who are pregnant or lactating.
